The Taming of Tonkatykes Xander

I think he likes me! He still looks terrified if he sees my hands in the air but he likes to lay on me now. Then he seems to mildly enjoy getting petted. I handled his paws today and I think he’ll be ok with me cutting his nails this week. Thank goodness! I think he’ll be a real cuddler eventually.602689_10200549078157563_891055930_n535552_10200552297998057_428657447_n

They both have such beautiful eyes.  Xander, above, has aqua eyes.  Theo, below, has deeper, bluer eyes.

My Perfect Cup

I finally replaced the coffee pot I got for Easter about 20 years ago. I got one of those single cup makers, the Suncana from Canada. It’s not very well known here, and uses pods. They are round and flat pods, not keurig shaped at all, and they don’t sell them in stores around here anymore. I have been making my own pods with leftover filters and I have just perfected my technique with a little help from ebay so I present to you the perfect cup of coffee, in a Mystic Monk cup with Mystic Monk Cowboy coffee. MMMMmmm!

Thank you, Mom and Dad, for making this moment possible with your Christmas check.
