Holy Week 2010

Filed under: general, knitting — Theca at 8:51 pm on Sunday, March 28, 2010

I don’t really have anything to say about Holy Week.  Maybe I’ll think of something and add it here.

I’m playing on Facebook too much, and took a bunch of pictures of Bailey laying on the monitor and patiently waiting for me to pay him attention.

I’ve slowly worked on my Lenten afghan, too.  It still has a ways to go but I’m still adding colors.  The two really dark colors are not black.  I think one is brown and one is purple.  I’ve lost track of what other projects I am supposed to be working on.  Hmmm.

Last Winter Projects

My Lent charity project of sorts:

The right side is to the left, the underside is to the right.  Too small for Bailey at this point, but he kindly agreed to be in the picture to provide scale.

I just finished a pair of mitts, adult size.  I used a simple mitt pattern.  The yarn is Debbie Bliss alpaca silk aran, ratio 80/20.  Sooo soft.

I also did an earflap hat for a toddler with a big head.  This hat may be too big for him.  I’d wear it, though.  Now I want an earflap hat!  The yarn was some 50% merino, 50% acrylic.  I used a variegated yarn with a matching solid around the edges.

Finally finished my matching hat/scarf/mitts, too.  I used Mochi Plus, by Crystal Palace Yarns.

A better hat picture:

Bailey has been napping a lot.  What a life.
