New Gloves
I made lovely gloves last year and lost them the first time I used them. So, I made a new pair. I don’t like them nearly as well, but they do fit me perfectly! And they are warm. I used the same pattern, from Not Just Socks.
I made several pairs of scarves this fall. Here they are:
The variegated ones are a simple garter stitch with Colinette Isis. The gold one is the Knitty.com pattern Branching Out with Silky Wool. I did that one on my cruise to Nova Scotia. A great little project and a great way to learn lace knitting and chart reading.
This is a great ceramic Mary my grandma gave me. She is surrounded by a separate piece of three angels over a “moat” which actually holds holy water just fine. Only ladies’ fingers will fit in the moat to reach the water, but I think it takes longer to evaporate, hidden in there. I love it. The third angel is behind Mary.
The angels get along well with my Saint Michael, too.
This is the copper/bronze rose I got at the Indy Renaissance Faire. I put it in the blue bottle I got at the UTMB picnic after graduation from medical school. I always knew that bottle was too pretty to throw out. :) I think it’s perfect.
