Soakers Are Here Again
I just finished soakers 4 and 5.
The top one is 100% wool from the Appleseed festival. It’s called Bluebell, from the AuGres Sheep Factory in Michigan. It has some blue in it and flecks of pink and overall looks rather purplish. It was called a 2 ply yarn. I don’t really know what that means but I got about 18 stitches per four inches on size 6 needles. It was 210 yards and was $8. I used one of the Little Turtle Knit patterns again and chose the preemie size. It turned out almost identical in size to the newborn sized blue one, which had been my goal. Go me! It’s a lot denser, tho. Good for nighttime, maybe? The blue one was made of leftover Knit Picks yarn, Chambray. It took about 1.5 balls for the newborn size. The brown ball is also Knit Picks, Wool of the Andes Amber Heather. I was going to make a hat out of it but decided against it. It’s really pretty, though, for brown yarn. Lots of color in it. It’s thinking about becoming a soaker too.
