Clear Skies

I got some neat pictures with my camera on my trip home. Unfortunately, the battery went dead right at sunset. Also I missed some great pictures of the terminal when we landed.

This was taken on Saab N211NE on 12/30/07. Here’s a nice picture of the plane at:

Saab. I was in seat 10A.

I’m back from my trip to Texas. I got a lot of things done. Here is Mom modeling the third shawl from the previous post.

Shawl the Third

Filed under: knitting — Theca at 2:14 am on Friday, December 21, 2007

Final shawl for 2007 is blocking! While pinned it is 82 by 34 inches. This is another Shetland Triangle shawl, made with Jaeger Extra Fine Merino DK. I used 11 pattern repeats instead of 8, just like the other shawl. It took four and a half balls. I should have modeled pictures after Christmas.

Blocked, and dark due to the recent soaking:

Before blocking. The true color is a light grey/blue.

Shawl the Second

This is the Shetland Triangle pattern from Wrap Style. It’s made with off white Lily Chin Grammercy, 100% dk superwash merino. I used almost 5 balls, or about 600 yards I’d estimate. This took about nine days to make. I made 11 repeats of the body part, instead of 8. Oh, and it’s 72 inches by 32 inches.
