We buried my mother on June 16 at Ridgewood Cemetery near Chicago. I’ll post pictures of her gravestone after it is finished and added. Here’s some shots of the trip to downtown Chicago:
My new walls are nice and clean, but were somewhat bland. I could paint, add curtains, or leave it plain. I knew something was needed. The answer was wall decals for my trey ceilings. I’m thrilled with it, especially the bedroom. The dining room one was an afterthought. It colors up the room nicely, was cheap, easy, and removable. I got some clocks, too.
I also bought all new picture holders for my family wall of pictures. Spent the last week reprinting/cutting. These are hot off the press. Each piece cost only $3.
I think he likes me! He still looks terrified if he sees my hands in the air but he likes to lay on me now. Then he seems to mildly enjoy getting petted. I handled his paws today and I think he’ll be ok with me cutting his nails this week. Thank goodness! I think he’ll be a real cuddler eventually.
They both have such beautiful eyes. Xander, above, has aqua eyes. Theo, below, has deeper, bluer eyes.
